Shopify access & integrations

How to give a partner access to a client's Shopify, and how to connect a logistician or 3PL. Internal cheat sheet.

01Give a partner collaborator access

A logistics integrator or external dev needs collaborator access to the client's Shopify admin. This is not a staff email invite, and not Jolly's own admin access. Collaborators are not invited by email: the partner sends the request, the owner approves.

  1. The store owner gets the 4-digit collaborator request code and the *.myshopify.com URL. The code lives at Settings → Users and permissions → Collaborators (it only shows when "Only people with a code can request" is selected), or under Account → Security.
  2. Send the code and the store URL to the partner, with the project name in the subject.
  3. The partner sends a collaborator request. The owner approves it in Shopify.
If the PM cannot see the code, they are not the store owner. Ask the client (the owner) to grab it. Client tutorial and video: Comment trouver le code collaborateur (Hub → Tutorials for clients → Tutoriels Shopify).

02Connect a logistician / 3PL

Example: a client on ELICO logistics, wired by the integrator Primiweb. They take collaborator access (step 01), then build the connectors via the Shopify API. Their connectors handle product catalog import, order import, stock updates, order-status and shipping updates.

03Connector prerequisites (flag to the client)

The logistics connector needs the catalog clean before it can run cleanly.
